Ear ear

Bunny ears. Fancy dress or Haute Couture? If Louis Vuitton's Fall 09 show was anything to go by they're the height of fashion. They've even made it into January Vogue, scaled down to 'bear ears' and accessorized with a veil by Maison Michel. But whilst I love the idea of wearing anything out of the sphere of the dull and workaday,how to get away with these without eliciting that unhealthy type of staring on the tube? These ears require explanation. If you're not a celebrity or on a red carpet people who come into contact with you merrily trotting down the escalators, bunny ears at a jaunty angle, are going to think you're a loon. It will not be possible to explain to each person "it's ok they're Louis Vuitton" as you bounce past and before you know it you will find yourself referred to the company psychiatrist to deal with your apparent personality disorder. Sectioning is a high price to pay for the sake of fashion.

Perhaps these ears are just a party item albeit a little pricier than the joke shop version and with a lot more dash. Or perhaps the answer to the question is in it's asking. If your lifestyle does not naturally accommodate the wearing of lace covered ears and veil then stick to the woolly hat.
