Although maybe not a remix in the strictest sense, The XX's reworking of the Florence + The Machine's cover of Candi Staton's 'You Got the Love' is a superbly different, warmly lo fi take on the bish bash bosh in your face original. It's all harps, those muted, distinctive Romy Madley and Oliver Sim vocals and some uplifting pads with only a sprinkling of Florence's vocal used in such a way that makes it sound even more 1986 than the original. And is that a glockenspiel I hear in the back ground? Genius.
