The annual raw talent-fest that is the Mercury Music Prize draws to its conclusion tonight as the 2009 winner will be announced live via a myriad of technology on Radio 6 Music, BBC2 and Radio 1 with updates on Twitter. I have in years gone by sometimes found the results annoying, ranging from predictable-annoying (Klaxons) to slightly baffling-annoying (Badly Drawn Boy? Hmmmm) so I'm wondering who'll scoot off with the prize this year. Twice nominated Bat For Lashes would certainly be a worthy winner as would flame haired, flame hearted Florence + The Machine but I might have to go on some kind of drunken rampage if Kasabian or Glasvegas head home with the silverware.
