So it's Bestival once again this weekend and everyone involved is praying to the god of sun and cider that a repeat of last year's mudbath is avoided. I still haven't managed to scrub the dirt off my sequins and I will never forget leaving the Isle of Wight on the Sunday, caked in mud, hungover to hell and STILL the rain was pouring down. I've been on Metcheck every day (read:hour) this week checking the forecast and so far it looks hopeful. The line-up is cracking : MGMT, Massive Attack, Florence + The Machine, Bat For Lashes, Klaxons and Metronomy as well as a good dose of alternatives like drum n bass representers London Elektricity and Mc Wrec and owner of underground label Critical Music, DJ Kasra. Apparently, as an alternative to piling onto the ferry with all the other plebs you can start your festival experience by swimming the three miles over to the island - if you are completely bonkers that is. Lets just hope that's the only kind of wading that will need to be required this year...
