Dreamt up at a FWD>> night at Plastic People and made flesh during time served at Leeds University, label of the dubstep moment, Hessle Audio, boasts a tiny shiny pedigree that has seen it handle releases by Skream, Ramadanman (David Kennedy, one of the label's co founders), TRG and Pangaea. If you've read any further down this blog you'll known I can't get enough of Router by Pangaea and if you have the slightest interest in this speed of bpm you'll have heard and re-heard Ramadanman's Blimey - minimal composition that packs an enormous punch. Having made it clear that quality music with longevity is the order of the day rather than riding on the back of a 2 step fad, the label promises a feast of fresh talent in the coming months and takes an uncompromising view when it comes to its mission statement: 'we're Hessle Audio and we do experimental, deep dubstep.' End of.
