Tonight at Pure Groove, Theoretical Girl Amy Turnnidge plies her own brand of seductively sweet sounding pop. The instrumental is solid but the thing I really like about her is her lyrics - they're contemplative and melancholy but properly balanced with a dose of feist and hormonal anger. I'm finding La Roux a little on the bitter side at the moment (plus I was bored of the album after three listens) and Little Boots is a bit too light and frothy even in her red mist moments so TG is the logical next step for the fickle pop music lover in me. For now at least..
