Johanne Anderson - RCA class of 2009

Johanne Anderson is one to watch - the Danish designer's MA show at the Royal College of Art was all over the big prints and structures and showed some seriously sexy shaping and texture. I love the drama of the pieces, the bright orange paired with bold prints in black and white, a nod to the shape of a bird's wings and the deconstructed denim jacket outfit (which I want please!). Apparently the collection was inspired by life in a magpie's nest - "fake jewellery, bolts, watches, a silver spoon, metal pieces, an old worn denim jacket, keys and candy sticks develop into prints, shapes and heavy beading." I havent been able to find any information what what happens next but I'm keeping my ear to the ground..
