Lou Dalton makes clothes for men. Bad lads done good, gentlemen with a fruity past, chaps with tatts and the disenchanted but well connected youth will all feel equally at home in the British infused collections inspired by a motley group of heroes including Francis Bacon, Billy Childish, Edward Windsor and Truman Capote. The AW 09 pieces range from chunky knits and patched jodhpurs to padded jackets and more of those arresting checks, all in the colour scheme of a stately manor and perfect for a weekend's shooting...in Hoxton. There's always been the trade off bewteen the gent and the East End in Dalton's work and whilst the last collection let Shoreditch win out, this time the balance has swung the other way.
