Ramp Recordings

Dubstep is a funny thing - everyone's raving about it, London clubland is overrun by the shuffling, wobbled 140bpm beats and it has even broken through to the mainstream with little nuggets of dynamite like Skream's remix of La Roux's Bulletproof. The thing is though, most of what is out there is really not all that. In fact it's shit. Step forward Ramp Recordings with some renegade takes on the 2 step revolution. Their myspace is like a whos who of raw downbeat tech talent that represents dubstep and beyond - Zomby, Flying Lotus, Maxmillion Dunbar. Their next release is Falty DL - Party / Alpafun out on 12" and digital release 14th September - "resonating in your brain like the jaded memory of an uncomfortable lap dance from an impromptu trip to the future." Quite.
