LFW AW 2010 – Day 4 - Antonio Berardi, Erdem, Jaeger, Christopher Kane

Antonio Berardi sent out a gorgeous collection of sleek tailoring, sexed up with sheer fabrics and lace offering glances of bare flesh and suspenders. Dresses with panels and cut outs first in black and then monochrome were followed by more tailored pieces this time in grey and finally a colour hit from two dresses in a bold green print and two in luscious red.

Christopher Kane’s central theme of floral design was adapted to a range of neatly cut dresses and suits on fabrics including leather and lace. Models wore platforms laced up at the front in calf or ankle lengths and had a distinct air of Heidi to them.

Jaeger’s autumnal darks were spread across tapered trousers and velvet dresses with satin lapels with attention focused on wide belts, oversized buckles and visible zips accessorized with killer, silver spiked heels. Roksanda Illincic’s pencil skirts and dresses gave the collection an elegant, vintage air and the flowing, satin creations were straight from the 70s, just like the show’s soundtrack. Finally, Erdem proposed a series of neat and colourful dresses and skirts, bell shaped and accessorized with a skinny belt. There were bold prints - including a beautiful swallow design - on everything from mini dresses to maxi skirts and bibs of ruffles aplenty. Two days to go…
