The Deerhunter gig at Koko on Monday was just one long wonderful wall of noise. I wedged myself into a corner between two railings and managed to stay upright for the whole thing despite some seriously bass heavy soundscapes. It was the last night of their tour and the banter even extended to a pretty sharp muppets impression by the band's bassist, Josh Fauver. I loved the energy and drama of Health, especially all the mad stuff they do with the effects peddles, but they did nearly make me deaf. Missed Crystal Antlers because was at home indulging cheese on toast addiction and forgot the time...must do better next time.
