Gold Panda - Snow & Taxis - Out 4th October

Gold Panda makes minutely detailed electronica that is filled with imagination. Snow & Taxis is a perfect example - a carefully constructed piece of music layered with a sleigh bell-like glockenspiel and a brief appearance by a Titanic soundtrack type vocal synth that will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. The track has a muted techno beat and is breathlessly danceable, despite never really reaching any kind of a crescendo.

Comparisons with the likes of Four Tet are easily made because of Snow & Taxis' unfussy structure and the geeky attention to detail that gives the track a real thickness and quality feel.  A slightly confusing video that’s more David Attenborough meets Blair Witch Project, than twinkling car lights and glistening snow just makes it all the more intruiging.  Snow & Taxis is the first track to be released from Gold Panda’s album - Lucky Shiner – that is due on 11th October.  If you want to hear the whole thing go to http://www.luckyshiner.com/.
